What is a Nail Fungus?
Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the fingernails or toenails. Also known as tinea unguium, it is a common condition that usually begins as a yellow or whitish spot under the tips of the affected toe or finger nails.
As the infection worsens, it penetrates the nail and surrounding tissue causing severe thickening and brittleness of the nails.
Causes and Symptoms of Nail Fungus

- Do not scratch the treated area.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning treatments for at least 3 weeks.
