acne treatment Acne is a common medical condition that affects upto 80 percent of adolescents & adults at some point in their lives. It is caused by a bacteria know as Corynaebactrium Acne. The bacterium grows in the blocked sebaceous glands of the skin and causes Acne. These bacteria release molecules called porphyrins. When these porphyrins are exposed to certain wavelength of light they produce free radicals that kill the bacteria.

Blu-U light therapy involves use of visible blue wavelength of light with Levulan. The Levulan (aminolevulinic acid) helps increase photosensivity & the Blu-light activates a toxic environment inside the pores and kills the acnecausing bacteria. Once the P.acne bacterium is removed, inflammation diminishes & acne clears up.
chemical peels Skin is a dynamic organ. Everyday cells divide at the basal layer of the epidermis & begin their journey upward to the uppermost layer, the stratum corneum. As new cells continue to grow, old cells from the stratum corneum slough off. This exfoliation of cells is a normal daily event. Chemical peeling is basically an accelerated form of exfoliation induced by the use of chemical peeling agents. The aim is to create as little tissue death as possible while inducing as much new tissue formation as possible.

Dr. Rajesh Mohan

Dr. R. Mohan, director and founder of NuLook Medspa, is a renowned family physician and cosmetic laser physician. For more than 20 years he has pursued his goal of providing the finest and most honest care possible. This standard of excellence has made him a favourite among his clients and his peers. With his attention to detail he personally oversees all aspects of his Medical Spa operation.

His impressive accomplishments include being a member of The Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM), The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) and a surgical diploma in Orthopedics from India. After coming to Canada in 1982, Dr. Mohan did a clinical residency in Neurosurgery in Ottawa and an internship at University of Toronto.

Dr. Mohan has been a licensed medical practitioner in a variety of fields since 1986. After getting his License to practise in Ontario he worked as an Emergency Physician in the communities of Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Brampton and Etobicoke. He successfully established The Islington Medical Centre in 1987 and focused his superb clinical competency to enhance the community of Etobicoke in the fields of Family Medicine, Travel Medicine, Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Mohan travels worldwide to attend conferences and symposiums to ensure he has the knowledge and skills to offer the latest advances in surgical and non-surgical procedures in the fields of as laser, aesthetics, and travel medicine.
